Uniform
Wearing correct uniform identifies students as a member of the school community. Helps staff identify children as a school student and safeguard everyone. Prepares students for life beyond school where all workplaces have either a uniform or work wear policy.
- Correct uniform shows students can meet a basic standard and are willing to learn.
- Correct uniform everyday provides routine and security to students.
- Prevents possible instances of bullying for not wearing certain clothing items.
- Promotes equality in our school community.
How Uniform Should be Worn
- Blazer is always worn
- Tie should be worn with top button fastened
- Shirts should be tucked into trouser or skirt
- Coats should be worn outside and come off when entering the building
*Should a student need continuous reminders to correct skirt length then that student will be no longer allowed to wear a skirt to school and instead will need to wear trousers.
- No facial or body piercings are permitted.- including nose studs*
- No more than one ear piercing. A plain stud earrings (one in each ear) is permitted
- No false eye lashes
- No false nails
- No jewellery other than a watch
- Natural hair colours (No bright or unnatural colours.
- No leggings (see guidance on girls and boys trousers)
- No socks over tights
- No trainer style shoes with visible logos, motifs or large soles**
- No jumpers
- No hoodies or jackets under/ instead of blazers
